What is this product used for?

This product is an all-in-one solution for convenient and versatile mushroom cultivation.

It provides an optimal environment for mushroom growth without adding nutrition.

What are the main ingredients of this product?

The main ingredients are Coco Coir and Vermiculite.

How do I prepare the product for use?

  • Store the CV Substrate in a cool, dry place until ready for use. Ensure you have colonized grain spawn ready for mixing.
  • Prepare a clean, smooth work area and sterilize all work surfaces with isopropyl alcohol.
  • A clean environment is necessary, but the chances of contamination at the stage of using CV substrate are usually much lower than other stages of mushroom cultivation (e.g., inoculation).

Mixing:

  • Wear nitrile or vinyl gloves and spray them with isopropyl alcohol.
  • Mix the colonized grain spawn thoroughly with the CV Substrate in a clean, sterile container.
  • Ensure an even distribution of spawn throughout the substrate. An even mix can be made, or layering of grain and substrate can be appropriate as well, depending on preference.

How Long Does It Take for Mycelium To Start Growing?

Mushroom growth can start within a week, but it varies depending on the mushroom species.

Can I reuse this product after one cycle of growth?

No, this product is designed for single-use to avoid contamination risks.

How is the product packaged for shipping?

The substrate is placed in sealable plastic bags and shipped in cardboard boxes.
